Most race enthusiasts know the Knoxville Raceway like it is printed at the back of their hands. This particular area is located in the charming location known as Knoxville. This is only one of the very picturesque places in the state of Iowa, and the county seat of Marion County.

There are many things for you to get immersed in when you find yourself within the vicinity. History buffs can have the best time over the history center of the said city that contains all that the inhabitants have undergone during the time of the Civil War. Their colorful history is also loaded with a profound appreciation for race cars, as seen by the interest of many of the locals in knoxville raceway weather.

Aside from their colorful and rich history, the place also boasts of natural scenic backgrounds that make you appreciate the small wonders even more. People who fondly call themselves tree huggers and naturalists will really enjoy the majestic spread that one can feast her eyes upon. The National Sprint Hall of Fame is also one of the most sought after places in the city. Race car fans even take their time out away from school and work just to be able to see the rich history of their most favorite sport in the whole wide world. Inside the hall is a vast memorabilia of everything and anything that pertains to sprint car racing.

Of course, having to look at still pictures will never be enough for any die hard fan. It is a must that one should see it all in action and full color. To be able to fulfill this goal, one simply has to get into the Knoxville Raceway, where all the fastest professional racers battle against one another to see who really is the undisputed king of the dirt track.

These races are often held in a full stretch of about half a mile of rough terrain. Specially manufactured vehicles give out their best in a very exciting game that focuses on speed and precision driving. The best races on the Raceway opens in April and culminates in September.

The special events even start as early as Wednesday and hopes to finish up by Saturday, in time for the regular races to start. These regulars are typically composed of 305 cubic inches, 360 cubic inches, and 410 cubic inches of sprint car categories. On top of these, they also have an event called The Nationals, which is held every August. This paramount sprint car event welcomes all participants from all over the country.

What is more, these events are scheduled so that they perfectly go in sync with the beautiful weather. Knoxville is typically blessed with 204 warm weather days per year, and majority of it is in line with the race season. This makes every event a more enjoyable one.

Of course, as the weather is a fickle thing, die hard fans often consult weather updates. They look into weather forecasts on their gadgets to make sure they come well equipped. After all, nothing kills the mood quite like a heavy downpour.
