Hotels Solihull - Experience History and Luxury at Nailcote Hall Hotel

By Steven Enfield

Although it is a location hardly famed for its decadence, the small market town of Solihull located just southeast of Birmingham is a thriving community with an incredibly rich heritage. Hotels Solihull is known for are few and far between, but the luxurious Nailcote Hall hotel, golf club, country club and spa, which is situated in the midst of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, stands as perhaps one of the midlands most distinctive vacation spots for those of a more discerning taste.

Nailcote Hall is a decadent 17th Century hotel with immense character with 40 full-furnished bedrooms, each individually decorated and furnished with four-poster beds, deluxe en suite bathrooms, high definition TVs and more. The building itself was first constructed in 1640, the name coming from the French word for 'armourer' and it is thought that the house was initially a gift from William the Conqueror. Over 300 years it changed hands numerous times before falling into the hands of the Lant family who first turned the house into a restaurant in 1984 and then finally into a hotel in 1989.

Facilities offered at the hotel are incredibly comprehensive with a world class par 3 championship golf course located on the grounds, a one-of-a-kind roman bath style 14 metre swimming pool and facilities for tennis and croquet as well as a full equipped gym complete with Jacuzzi and steam room. All of the facilities will be offered with no charge to hotel guests and represent some of the best of their kind in the general area. Meanwhile 'Ricks Bar' is host to some fantastic nightly shows, hosting everything from world-class tribute acts to charity balls and discos.

The hotel also has an adjoining marquee that will provide a wonderful setting for any important event from a wedding reception to a business function or corporate event. The marquee will be erected on the hotels diligently kept lawns and will be styled exclusively to order, accommodating the clients and their guest's most specific wishes. The hotel is also licensed for both weddings and civil partnerships, which means that couples can marry on the premises themselves and can cater for anywhere from 50 to 240 guests.

Hotels Solihull can lay claim to are few and far between, at least of such a high calibre. Nailcote Hall however is one of the only hotels Solihull can offer that will be able to offer both a taste of the midlands rich history and a taste of luxury. Sticking with the historical front the hotel is also the perfect 'base' from which to visit some of the regions most entertaining attractions such as Warwick Castle (one of the countries oldest and largest) and the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon.
