Coming Up With Strategies To Fly Clear

By Greg Diener

In a planet that seems to be moving at a million miles an hour, air travel has given many Americans a sense of brief relaxation in hectic times. It has given relaxation to fly clear for a large number of workers who rely on making trips with the airplane as part of the basic functions of their jobs. It is easy to see why since airplanes can help you reach locations faster than by the automobile.

But one of the biggest apprehensions that travelers have had on their minds is the issue with airport security. With all the problems we hear on the news regarding the security of many Americans overseas, we have to keep a stable eye on what is going on with the latest terror threats on this land. We all do not want to be faced in a circumstance where we might neglect something that could be thought as a threat for everyone at the airport.

Security at our airfields is something that we must treat with the utmost significance. Whenever we turn into the nightly news chances are you will once a week hear a story about airline security. Some of these stories vary from somebody breaching a large high-tech security system to somebody trying to sneak a gun through the security line. Although a lot of times these scenarios have to be viewed with the utmost importance, lots of these breaches result in matters that were not that serious to begin with. The delays from these frivolous circumstances have caused many complaints among passengers.

But for these flyers, some form of sanity is emerging into place to make their travels a little simple for them. One solution that has recently sprung up is CLEAR a biometrical data service, which stores a passenger's data onto a card which can be reviewed at a participating airport that uses it. For an annual fee it assists as a pass to get past the airport's long lines without the familiar delays that sometimes happen. While you still have to be subjected to an airport pat-down, this service has the opportunity to reach millions of Americans who depend on getting to work through the airplane.

I am hopeful that we will continue to see airport security be polished to treat the threats we face on an everyday basis. I also believe that we have to find some similar ideas like CLEAR to give passengers the freedom to fly, without worrying about terrors hanging in the back of their minds. For those who count on needing planes to get to work, I only expect that we begin to see more new options begin to enter the picture.
