By Elinor Goldsby

Being a truck driver is not as great as the ads want you to believe it is.This is especially true for truckers that drive long distances. There are many trucking companies that advertise new trucking jobs that pay upwards to 160k.

Truckers have jobs that keep them on the road for a lot of time. This kind of job takes you away from all of your family and friends. You can spend weeks or days driving all over the country.Truck drivers miss plenty of birthdays and other important family events. If you have a family, this can be very hard to take.It is hard to form a relationship with your family on a regular basis. This ends up with a lot of broken homes. It is emotionally draining for both the truck driver and his family.

Some would say that this type of lifestyle is okay for anyone who does not have family ties.It would be a good challenge for the person who likes the open road.As a matter of fact, some single people can save money by living this lifestyle. But, this job is only a good fit if you are okay with the low pay.

Even though it might save money, it still does not make up for the fact that it is a lonely job.Or, that they spend more than 75 percent of the day in their truck. The bottom line is that for many truckers the income does not justify the time that is spent performing the job. This is based upon the opinions of both single and married truck drivers.

Considering the fact that truckers are always away from home, this does not mean that they can't enjoy some of the comforts of home. This is why many trucks are fitted with sleeper cabs that have beds and other comforts of home such as microwave ovens. This is the way that truckers can unwind out on the open road. You can purchase sleeper cabs from various trucking companies.Research various Perimeter, Freight liner, Mack, Ford or kenworth reviews.Find out which sleeper cabs are available such as the Aerodyne Sleeper or the Studio Sleeper. Both are quality sleepers. It will depend on what you like and can afford.Being on the road should not stop you from experiencing some of the amenities of home.

All in all, a truck reviews driver has a hard life.It can be frustrating and desolate. However, there are many truckers on the road today.
