What To Do At Cabo San Lucas

By Arthur Goldberry

Cabo San Lucas is a big hit among tourists worldwide. While it's not heavily populated, it's heavily visited. Cabo San Lucas is a coastal area situated at Baja California, Mexico's southern tip. More often than not its visitors hail from America, who seek paradise and find just what they're looking for in "Cabo." There are also a lot of more hoity-toity Mexicans who visit Cabo San Lucas when on vacation.

As far as ports of call are concerned, few are more popular for cruise lines than Cabo San Lucas. Many cruises from Los Angeles to Mexico included Cabo San Lucas in the itinerary. It can be surmised that since Cabo San Lucas is located on the coast, beaches abound in this area. These aren't any ordinary beaches either. They are free of taint. The pristine beaches of Cabo San Lucas keep attracting travelers year after year after year.

If you're a seafood lover, then Cabo San Lucas is going to be a gourmand's delight. The food is fresh as you might imagine. But why think about seafood as your first priority when Cabo is all about the party lifestyle, not to mention water sports, adventure tours, and the segue to our next paragraph...sport fishing.

Oh, and if you're interested in fishing for sport, you might want to check out Cabo San Lucas' Marlin fishing tournament. This isn't any ordinary fishing tournament. Sponsored by the city, the Marlin tournament features a $1 million jackpot. It is a self-sustaining attraction you wouldn't want to miss if you love fishing.

Nature lovers will want to check out the "El Arco de Cabo San Lucas." I call it a "Triceratops drinking from the water", though many people have their own florid descriptions of this wondrous rock formation. It's quite the sight. The "El Arco de Cabo San Lucas" is considered by many to be one of the rare and most interesting creations by nature in North America. Of course, don't leave home without your camera!

For the party goers, Cabo San Lucas offers some of the best nightlife found anywhere. If you are looking for a unforgettable night out, this is the place to be. Many people compare the scene at the Cabo to the scene in Vegas. You'll have to go to compare for yourself.

If you have the time, take a trip up north to Cabo San Lucas. All you need to travel is twenty miles. It also offers a great atmosphere as well as picturesque panoramic views of the hills. You want to make sure your camera has more than enough film or free space on the memory card.

Remember, when you visit Cabo San Lucas, there's only one rule-live it up to the fullest. Enjoy your stay and take back some memories. Whether you fly into Cabo San Lucas or stop there as part of a cruise, one thing is for sure-you can't stay there long enough.
