Clear Airport Security with Clear Me Tomorrow

By Brent Neenan

After the tragedies of 9/11 the world came together with the knowing that our airports and terminals were no longer safe with the spreading of terrorist activity. In reaction to this horrific event; departments such as the TSA were formed in order to better defend air traveling citizens. However with an increase in security came an increase in wait time, extended lines and poor service at airports. In response to these negative side effects of safer travel; Clear Me was a service established in 2003 which made it much less difficult to clear airport security.

Originating in the first decade of the 21st century Clear Me utilizes state of the art technology in order to more effectively streamline security procedures. By issuing individualized biometric ID cards a client presents it at proper checkpoints to circumvent the first level of security at airports. Ultimately Clear Me is said to cut your total wait time down between 20-30 minutes.

Because Clear Me is a secure service not anyone off the street can register for its use. In order to qualify for Clear Me services and the ability to rapidly clear airport security a candidate must disclose specific pieces of personalized information. These pieces entail numerous forms of government ID, the submitting to iris and fingerprint scans and passing a LexisNexis background check. Once all these requirements are met you are given a personalized biometric ID to present at particular security checkpoints at participating airports.

Not everyone agrees with the overall performance of Clear Me though. Having gone out of business once already in 2009; people are wondering whether it will be a service that lasts into the future. With 200,000 previous customers who have had their earlier memberships honored they have a leg up this time around. The matter will essentially boil down to whether people think they are really getting their bang for their buck in bypassing airport security.

So whether you're a believer or a naysayer; Clear Me will soon be heading to an airport near you. Are you going to be a person stuck in line waiting for the next TSA to put you through a naked scanner or are you going to be a person who puts Clear Me to, use. The choice is yours so choose wisely.
