Exploring Nature In Alabama RV Parks

By Rosetta Drake

Over the years, many people have come to realize the pleasure of owning an RV vehicle. With this increase in ownership, advancements have been made with the development of excellent park facilities to take care of their needs. Alabama RV Parks have become a very popular place to visit with the many locations that are available.

This southeastern state is an ideal location for those who wish to have an enjoyable vacation or for those who just wish to travel the United States. Not only is there a seashore, but lakes, rivers, and mountain camping areas as well. Many of the parks have additional attractions such as golfing, playgrounds, heated swimming pools, and so forth.

One great advantage of driving an RV in Alabama is that highway I-20 travels straight through the center of the state, with the various camping sites nearby. Some of these facilities are privately owned, while others are located in Federal or State run recreational areas. Some sites are small while others may have as many as 220 sites.

For the person who enjoys fishing there are excellent locations at the gulf, lakes, and rivers throughout the state. The fish species vary but all provide the pleasure of landing a catch. As a rule, there are also other types of entertainment for the rest of the family, such as playgrounds, swimming, and other kinds of recreation.

Two excellent examples of the parks available are found in the Talladega National Forest and in the Lincoln Area. The forest, run by Park Rangers, offers 102 miles of hiking trails as well as bass fishing in a nearby creek. The park at Lincoln offers cable and internet hookups, and an excellent boat launch, as well as water skiing, swimming, and other types of entertainment.

These are just a couple of examples of the marvelous opportunity for the RV traveler to have the experience of living in native habitat surroundings. Modern technology has also come to this type of camping with most facilities including cable, Internet, and Hi-Fi connections. This allows a person who must work away from home to do so while enjoying a relaxing atmosphere.

There are 33 metropolitan, 22 river, and 26 mountain, RV parks in this state. Each park is constructed with the comfort of the modern traveler in mind, providing an opportunity to learn about this beautiful part of the United States. Whether choosing one or more spots for camping there will be a variety of activities to enjoy. Many people plan their vacations at a different location each year.

Retirees find Alabama RV parks especially attractive. They can bring their pets and stay as long as desired before moving on. Families like the outdoor atmosphere where their children can play and have the freedom to learn about life outside the city. This also provides the opportunity to meet up with fellow travelers and enjoy fun and recreation together in a congenial atmosphere. The use of an RV vehicle provides freedom, with the comfort of familiar things, and no worry about finding a confining hotel or motel room with various restrictions.
