Awesome Attractions and Tourism Has to Offer

If you are thinking about making a visit to Detroit, become prepared by researching some of the super activities in Detroit. With a lot of Detroit attractions including casinos, parks, zoos, museums and more, the city of Detroit offers both a wonderful day out and the chance for many wonderful experiences.

Motown Historic Museum

Set up in 1985 by Esther Gordy Edwards, the Motown Museum is one of the city of Detroit's most popular holidaymaker destinations. Take a guided tour to be and see where Motown got its start. Experience history through clothing, photos, art, and mementos of the Motown Empire. Feel the history as you stand in the same recording studio where lots of the great Motown originals got their start.

Greektown Casino

The Greektown Hotel and Casino is located in the center of Greektown, a cultural neighborhood in the city of Detroit. Aside from gambling and shows at the casino, Greektown has plenty of other things to offer travelers. You'll find dining and shopping in the traditional cultural neighborhood as well as many blocks of treasures for sale. Stay at the Greektown Hotel and Casino and luxuriate in the nightlife of the city's traditional Greek community.

Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum

The Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum can be found on the grounds of the University of Michigan. It is a excellent place to spend a down day relaxing, bird watching and smelling the roses. There are several gardens in bloom at different times of the year including the new bonsai and penjing garden. Aside from the beautiful gardens, there's an inside conservatory and miles of hiking and discovery trails. Feel free to bring snacks or picnic lunches and relax on one of many out of doors patios or in the picnic grove.

Detroit Zoological Park

The Detroit Zoological Park, sometimes called the Detroit Zoo is home to over 6,800 animals. There are many attractions in the Detroit Zoo to enjoy including shopping, dining and exploring different exhibitslike theWinter Safari and the Arctic Ring of Life. The Henry Ford is the number one cultural attraction in the entire state if Michigan. Take a trip through time at the Henry Ford and experience the art and history of driving and autos in the States.

Comerica Park

Comerica Park is the home stadium of the Detroit Tigers. It is so much more than a baseball stadium. There is a 50 foot indoor Ferris wheel, a carousel, shopping, many dining selections inside the stadium and giant sculptures of tigers across the park. Ball games incorporate firework displays into the event with their liquid fireworks display. When in Detroit, enjoy a little piece of American custom and take in a ball game at Comerica Park.
