The exotic call of culture and history combined with a love of adventure have long attracted many tourists to Asia. Riding over the different terrain, rice paddies and through bamboo jungles you soon discover that riding can be a challenge. Organized group guides can make the journey suitable for a bikers level of experience. From easy gravel roads, muddy tracks and rocky paths to crossing rivers, entering forested areas and traveling over the hills and mountains.

Angkor Archaeological Park encompasses a large area and a visit here is highly recommended. Not far from the city of Siem the ancient Khmer civilization built their temples here now surrounded by trees and forests. One of the most well known and largest temples is Angkor Wat. The ancient ruins capture the imagination of its visitors, giving them a sense of times gone by.

Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia. Divided into three areas it sits on the banks of the Tonle Sap and Mekong River. A wealthy city, it offers its visitors a display of French colonial architecture to the south, narrow streets, bustling markets and plenty of shops in the center and to the north a very attractive residential zone.

Sihanoukville is surrounded by a dozen islands off the Gulf of Thailand. This beach resort is an ideal location for a spot of relaxing. A great place to take time to explore a few other activities such as fishing, snorkeling and diving. The beaches are clean and sandy and the sea is clear and warm. The city comes to life in the evening with the flavors and smells of Asia enticing people into the many restaurants along the beach.

Tours to the north of the country lead you past waterfalls and streams. The bamboo jungles and grassland give opportunities to see the amazing wildlife that live here. Elephants and tigers roam around the Virachey National Park and there are small villages that welcome visitors. Hidden in the Ratanakiri forest is a volcanic lake called Yeak laom. A refreshing swim can be followed by light lunch and a chance to relax.

Floating over the lake of Tonle Sap is a village where you can enjoy Cambodian cuisine and delight in the culture. An interesting place where all the buildings move with the level of the water. Craft shops, crocodile farms, bars and markets create a fantastic atmosphere. It is well worth a visit.

Don't expect luxury overnight accommodation. The guesthouses are basic and on occasions a local family may offer a place to eat and sleep.
