Boutique Budget Hotels, Birmingham and Beyond

By Peter Gibbons

Although in these times of great budgetary concern it might prove more tempting to 'go budget' when traveling, across the U.K, there are those who will always prefer to find the comforts of home wherever the are forced to stay away on business. A middle ground exists between grim budget hotels and over-priced luxury hotels in the form of boutique, budget hotels. Birmingham especially has a vast array of these hotels and their various features will be discussed in detail below.

Location is of paramount importance when selecting which budget boutique hotel to stay at. Most hotels will be sited in the city center so guests will be close to local bars, restaurants, shops and business districts. Of course there will also be hotels situated close to airports and major exhibition centers such as the Birmingham NEC and London's Earls Court.

Many budget boutique hotels will be located in city centers to provide easy access to a variety of restaurants, pubs, clubs, bars and shops. They will also be sited to provide uninhibited access to the motorway with all precautions taken to ensure suitability for disabled clients. A hotel located in the centre of Liverpool for example would be close to not only the central dock area but also to the busy bar and restaurant district centered around Matthews street.

Most of these hotels will be located in the heart of the city close to not only general amenities but also bars restaurants and cafes as well as business, shopping and entertainment centre's. There should also be decent access to the UK's motorway services and at most major cities they should be within a sensible distance from the nearest airport. Hotels Birmingham central located for example are within a short driving distance of Birmingham Airport, the Birmingham Bullring and the NEC and NIA exhibition centre's.

As explained above there is no longer any need for businesses and traveling individuals to settle for poorly kept, clinically decorated budget hotels. Birmingham is only the second city and has at least 10 hotels, which offer all of the above, and more so you'll never again need to suffer a terrible nights sleep when traveling in the UK's city centers.
