Eight Tips For Traveling Lite And Packing Your Things

By Dustin Faulkner

Traveling can be such a headache these days, but fortunately it can be made easier by a good packing strategy. But here are a few quick tips, starting with the most obvious one - carry small luggage so you can save half an hour time at the arriving airport. It is easy to break away from the hustle and the bustle of the baggage terminal simply by packing light, traveling light and bringing those carry-ons whose linear diameter is no more than 45 inches. To learn how to pack all your needs into two suitcase, read more.

How-to Pack & Travel Lite

Brass tacks - make a list first. List everything that is to be packed. Make sure you match each shirt and blouse with the bottoms, may they be pants or skirts. Rule of thumb - you have to bring clothes you can use in multiple occasions, or solid colors. If you see something that doesn't match, then leave them home where they should be!

And here are even more substantial packing tips to help you travel light:

Accessorize. How to make an awe-inspiring impression out of a basic or mundane outfit? Glam yourself up with a snazzy-looking tie for the men and a colorful scarf for the ladies. Make your attire vibrant with these technicolor accessories!

Roll 'em up please. The best way to fit all your clothes is by rolling pants & shirts. First fold each item in half. Then all you need to do is roll. To try to maintain any creases, start on the bulkiest end of the news story of clothing.

Employ shoe smarts. The dudes reading this article can opt to bring rubber-soled shoes made of leather, perfect for any time of the day. For woman, a pair of flip-flops, strappy sandals & comfy wedges can serve all casual - chic dressing needs.

Minimize bulk. Be as tough as a drill sergeant when it comes to minimizing bulk from your carry-ons. It's best to pack microfibers that are resistant to wrinkles and stains. With most of your attire, stay in the same color scheme - in case you have to layer up for warmth.

Put under garments on the top. To reduce the embarrassment of under garments becoming the side show attraction of the open luggage scan, place all panties in a plastic bag free of any clippers, lighters or other questionable paraphernalia. To make the open luggage check much easier, the plastic bag must be placed on top of your other items to minimize chances of security pooping on your party and ruining what you worked so hard to pack.

Don't bring extra baggage. Lose it - especially that Bible-sized travel guide of yours. Leave it at home, that is, and make sure you have everything you need with you. As for appliances like hair dryers, you may not want to bring them as hotels usually provide these to guests.

Lose those restricted items too. If you want to make it through security extra speedy, avoid any firearms, weapons, box-cutters, scissors, razors, lighters & any other item that may be used in a terrorist situation.
